My Testimonial
I have been overweight the majority of my adult life. My weight peaked this year at 445 pounds. Emotionally, I was in a dark place with no way out. I felt trapped in my own body. I barely walked or moved. I slept around the clock. I couldn't really play with my son or fully participate in family events.

I was a prisoner on my own couch…

I finally hit rock bottom on a family trip to the aquarium. The walk from the parking lot to the aquarium exhausted me. I was only able to move from bench to bench between exhibits. I physically wasn’t able to participate with my family. Every time my son came over and asked me to come see something, I painfully had to tell him "No." My son grabbed my hand and begged, "Please Daddy, come see Nemo!" with those pleading eyes and it ripped my heart apart. That was my breaking point. The giant realization that I was not being a good father or husband came over me. Of course, I certainly provided them with emotional support, but what they needed most was an active parent. I had been so incredibly introverted and completely consumed by my limitations.
