Completely Changed My Life
Ever since I can remember I’ve been skinny, ‘til about three years ago. Friends and family always asked how I stayed so thin. I would always say "I have good genes". At least that’s what I thought. Now I know why I was able to stay thin. When I discovered I had talent to play soccer (at age 11) I played throughout middle school and high school. I was really good in P.E., it was my favorite subject. I was an athletic person.

All that changed when I started working at a fast food place. Work required me to be there most of the day and when I had time to get some physical activity done, I was too tired; all I wanted to do was watch TV and sleep.

Eating at work (fast food), sleeping, and getting no exercise, made me gain a lot of weight. At this point I looked old, fat, had no energy, and to top it all off, I was always in a bad mood. It had to come down to me weighing 161 lbs. before I realized that I wasn’t that young athletic person I was before.
