Progression is Inevitable!
I grew up with a mostly athletic background, playing all different types of sports; mostly ice hockey so weight or health was really never an issue for me. Since I became heavily involved with sports and activity it did not matter what I ate since my metabolism was always on high gear. I come from an Italian background and pretty much every meal was centered around pastas, sauces, cheeses and various delicacies that we certainly over appreciated having whenever the family gathered for our meals. This became a normal lifestyle for me as I would play sports, eat large quantities of generally unhealthy food and develop cravings for certain types of food that would make me feel gassy, bloated and sluggish afterwards. I actually had surgery done on my intestinal tract as a baby to enable proper digestion and absorption of foods as I grew up.
