We couldn’t be happier for our friend and Athletic Advisory Board Member, Daniel Jacobs. After his bout with cancer, months of rehab and being away from the ring for far longer than he would have liked, Danny has returned. And boy, did he return!
Since Danny’s triumphant return, he has already been in two fights in the span of two months. Did we mention that he dominated both of his opponents? His first match back was an authoritative KO in the first 73 seconds!!! His second match versus Chris Fitzpatrick showcased Jacobs speed, precision, and ability to land combination after combination which resulted in a pounding 5th round victory. Though Fitzpatrick made it to the end of round 4, he elected not to continue fighting once the round was over.
Danny has stated that he will most likely be fighting on February 9th, returning back to his hometown to fight at the Barclays Center.
