We really have a very similar life. We were both born and raised in Obregon, Sonora Mexico, in a very nice family, full of love. Our parents always tried to give us the best and to instill in us very good values. We were high school sweethearts. We went to the same College. We even have the same major. We are both CPAs. We got married and God blessed us with three boys, who really are our greatest treasure.
When I was 16 my dad was diagnosed with a very serious disease… Cancer. I saw how it started deteriorating, how it was eating him. And that was very sad for me, for the entire family. He died at age 53, very young. He died at a time when I needed him the most. That left a huge imprint in my life. I learned to really appreciate health and I also learned to appreciate money.
When this opportunity came to me I was only looking for a way to feel better, look better. But little by little I realized that this was much bigger. I began to do this as a plan B. I started to get the word out with my friends. Of course I found some that were interested, some that weren’t. But I kept going. I continued because I saw that this would be something really big. In an effort to seek new opportunities and success, I had to leave my home town. Obregon is very small and there are not many options for professionals.
Leaving my wife, my kids, and my childhood friends was very hard for me. But I did it and I got what I wanted. I climbed to new positions at work. But in the world of business there is a lot of psychological pressure. I went through our country’s financial crisis also, and I lost my job a few times. After some time when I was at the peak of my professional life, I was doing very well financially. I had a high management position in an international company, a good lifestyle, and good schools for our children, nice health club, and new car every year, nice home, I was fired again. That was very frustrating. It is very hard to start all over; I had a lot of responsibilities as the family began to grow.
I started looking into other employment options, even opening my own business. But I am really convinced about this because my wife started to develop it as a Plan B and today it has become a Plan A. This really is a great opportunity.
One of the things I was able to do with YOR Health and that I am most proud of is taking a family vacation in Orlando. The time we shared together was amazing, the beautiful places, and the rides. And what’s amazing is seeing what one is capable of doing when you decide. It's a great satisfaction for me, being a house wife for so many years seeing how here you have the opportunity to decide to do something and do it!
I am so happy because I can do this business with my husband, because I can share this with so many people. This opportunity has been so great to us and it has impacted our lives so positively that we can now go out there and help more people.
