Hello my name is Marcela Jotar. I am 26 years old and I am a graphic designer. I grew up In Huejutla, a province in the state of Hidalgo, and I come from a family of divorced parents, where through their example they taught me hard work and always going the extra mile. I have 2 younger brothers and we grew up watching our parents work hard to always give us the best, what we needed so we never lacked anything but on that journey they were what was missing.
Money always being a problem in my house, I remember one Sunday our mom took me and my brothers to the park. At a distance I saw a balloon-vendor, as a child I loved balloons. Big, beautiful, colorful, and I ran really hard to the balloon-vendor. I grabbed one and took it to my mom and told her "Mom, please buy me this balloon." I remember the words of my mother when she approached me to tell me soft in the ear, "Daughter, not today, I don’t have any money." And that phrase in my house marked us a lot. The issue of money always caused arguments, fighting and separation in my house. A few years later, my parents separated, and this brought even more economic problems for my family and I.
I graduated from college. I realized that the labor situation was becoming more difficult, and that what I was doing at that time would not take me where I wanted. Just then when I felt more lost, with a lot of uncertainty about my future, was that thank God I got a call from a good friend of mine, Cristina Esteve. And I remember in the call I did not understand much, the only thing I understood is that there was an opportunity to generate money, dollars, weekly, and I said: Great. I'm interested. My first challenge was not having the money to start. But that didn’t stop me from starting. I asked for a loan and so I joined.
Another challenge was that I started very young. I had a big desire but no credibility in business. It took me a little longer to learn, to start believing I could do this, working harder on myself so the right people could come to build a team. And doing this, I found the person that is always looking to get the best in me. That person I want always beside me, as my life partner and best friend is my boyfriend. The promise that I could find in YOR Health that time and financial freedom, for me was always very clear and that's why I never gave up.
Now after 4 years of doing this I look back and see that asking for a loan, overcoming my fears, challenging my own limitations, and making the changes necessary to become a better person, all that was worth it. Now, what inspires me is being the best person I can be, and be an example of hope for people who come from the same place where I come from and help them make that change, as I was helped at those times.
Thanks YOR Health family.
