Summary
The first official YOR Leaders Summit was held at the Presidente Intercontinental Resort in Ixtapa, Mexico. The Company’s top leaders and their guests gathered for a 3-day event filled with insight, and introspection. What they went home with was a better understanding of themselves, their team and what must be done to achieve their health and financial goals.
Starting YLS 2011 on Valentine’s Day was not our first choice. However, hotel availability dictated the circumstances which turned out to be very appropriate in the end. The purpose of YLS was to help deepen everyone’s faith by giving them an enlightening vision that would multiply their energy and give them confidence to overcome the unbearable challenges they face as we strive to achieve wealth and success. The highest form of learning is inspiration and it is not easily achieved; especially in just three days. Inspiration usually occurs through witnessing a life example; therefore our purpose in YLS was more than ambitious to say the least.
Our original projection of qualified attendees was expected to be less than 130 people. As the date of YLS 2011 came closer, we witnessed a rush of qualifiers and became certain we would have no more than 230 attendees. We ended up with 265 and I was more than pleased. On the other hand, with more than 70 percent new to YLS, I was anxious about how effective we could be. The success of YLS would depend on team preparation by the leaders prior to the event. Trust, openness, and a willingness to engage one another using the planned materials, would help them absorb all of the designed benefits.
I would like to credit and thank all Diamond Leaders and above for doing a fabulous job preparing the team for YLS! Everyone came into YLS fully ready to engage and as a result I believe all 265 of us had an enlightened and inspired experience. How do I know this? The fact that we were at an exotic beach resort with tropical and sunny weather; and instead of getting a tan, we locked ourselves up in an air-conditioned room for three days. In fact when it was time for coffee breaks, lunch or dinner most of us stayed behind thirsting for more information.
In those three days we had many intimate moments. Together we shared laughter, happy tears and thought compelling silence. The most important moment for me, was the unity I felt at the end of the third day. I could see the love, respect, and appreciation for one another in everyone’s eyes. Maybe it was the spirit of St. Valentine at work that left us happy and excited to go home and practice our newfound knowledge. Personally I was touched and inspired by everyone, as well as grateful for your trust in me. YLS would be meaningless without you, especially the Blue Diamonds and above, and my dear friend Michael. All of you make my work fun, enjoyable and inspiring. You have encouraged me to further my work and I am excited to expand YLS in the years to come.
I believe that we accomplished what was intended at YLS 2011. By YLS 2012 we will have reaped many of the benefits we learned this year. Many of our attendees will have moved up in the ranks and will qualify more of their team to be with us in 2012. I am certain that with our leaders maturing, YLS 2012 will be even more impactful. I am looking forward to meeting you on a personal level, so make sure you qualify and better yet, bring your team with you! It will change your lives as it has done for all of us.
After YLS, many people have stated that it was the best week/event of their life. Count me in as one of those people to join the club! The intent for an enlightenment to happen within the attendees was part of the plan. What wasn't part of the plan was for this to happen to the trainers as well. As funny as it sounds, I don't think I've ever shed happy tears before, but the people and the energy really touched my soul and I am humbled to have been a part of it.
To the Attendees:
Your sincerity to learn, humility, courage, candid stories, and compelling drive to move forward inspires us at the "top" to continue to improve on every aspect of our lives and deliver the best company for you. I wish to remind you of my welcome message. Our job as an attendee was not only to learn and experience the information but to learn so we can teach it. A sign that you've graduated is when you start paying the information forward. I honestly believe, and this is a personal goal of mine, that every new generation will become better than the previous generation.
To the Diamond Leaders:
The event's success was all due to your preparation of the attendees. There is not one leader that "makes" YOR Health. However, we, as a team, collectively played a huge role in making this event the best up to date. I don't have an answer when people ask Dennis where he finds all these good people but I am just glad that we didn't have to scavenge other places for them because you were all home grown.
To Dennis:
You were put on this Earth to work with and inspire people...to help them to see higher than they saw last. I knew that 10 years ago when I first met the "young" Dennis. You were in full demonstration of your true purpose at YLS. Thank you for keeping your standards when everybody criticized. Thank you for believing when everybody questioned. Most importantly, thank you for being a complete human being.
YLS 2012, here we come…
