A Chicago native with a double major degree in Journalism and Spanish Language Literature from Loyola Marymount University, Argelia began her career as an intern at CBS-TV Channel 2. After only a few years she began her exposure to radio, coordinating promotional events for KRLA and KLSX. It was in Los Angeles, at Spanish TV Station KVEA 52 where she received her first big break as host of Generación X.

Soon after in 2003, Argelia joined Univision Television Network. Since then Argelia has been involved in National shows like: Premios Juventud, The Latin Grammys, Ver Para Creer, and for more than 10 years, as host of the entertainment segment for the leading newscast Primer Impacto.

All this happened as Argelia managed to be up every morning at 3 AM to co-host the morning show for the leading Spanish radio station in Los Angeles, KLVE 107.5 FM.

Always putting her community first, one of her most esteemed projects is at her alma mater, Garfield High School in East Los Angeles.
